EDF scam?

Having just applied to switch from EDF to another provider, I’ve had emails & a phone call saying that if I remain with them I’ll stay on my current fixed tariff plus have £150 credited to my account. But only by calling a particular number. Apparently only this department is able to offer this deal. Has anyone else had this - is it a scam?

Almost certainly a scam, especially if they can't quote your account number etc.Accept it only if you can do so by using EDF's contact methods shown on your statements.1

Just called EDF from number on my account details & been told their promotions and sales departments are running these offers, so I guess it’s not too good to be true after all.0
