using holiday towards sick pay

Hi,
I have a question about sick pay. I am off sick now and entitled to 4 weeks fully paid sick pay and 4 weeks half pay. 
I am now in the half pay part and my question is if I am off six weeks, I would lose a weeks pay. Could I use a weeks holiday to cover this?

    I wouldn't think that you could get paid both in the same weeks
    But nothing to stop you from asking 
    make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

    So I couldn't have 1 week fully paid with the unpaid week covered by holiday?

    Contractual sick pay is often discretionary. 

    Nothing to stop the company offering and extra week full pay and let you take a week of holiday.

    Only if your employer chooses to allow you to do so. They don't have to although many / most will as it is arguably a benefit to them as well as for you.

    Yes it would. However, as I say, given that the employer can refuse any holiday request (as long as the employee is allowed to take it at some point in the year, when the employer chooses) they have the whip hand.

    Employer can choose to give an extra week on full pay and none for the following week.
    That week  can then use up holiday.
