Weird smelly patch near radiator

    What's the betting the radiator was removed to redecorate and when put back on there was a big leak that sprayed water from the valve area that got the carpet and the base of the wall. If it's dry then it's probably just the discolouration from the chemicals in the CH system.
  • Yep, the carpet appears dry and it definitely looks like some past leak there so that rules that out.
    I'll speak to the downstairs neighbour tomorrow and see what they say.  I've already had a brief chat with them regarding the past tenants a week ago and they did mention something about a leak from our flat due to shoddy plumbing and how filthy the past tenants were.  Thanks all.
