Hello, I need some advice.
Im currently getting LCWRA with UC due to mental health reasons. alot of this is based on where i was working and the closeness to where my abuser lived. They company i worked for have offered me an 8 hour position in the town i now live in.
does anyone have any experiance on returning to work while i have been signed off on LCWRA?
Iv tried to contact them but havnt been able to speak to anyone has of yet due to how busy their lines are.

This means you can earn that amount of money each assessment period before you start to see the 63% deductions. If you start working then you'll need to report the changes on your journal.0 -

iv been partily thinking if it would be better to be off LCWRA anyways as im a carer for my partner and as i do not get (i cant think of the correct word for it) the money that gets added on to UC for being on carers allowance as thats deducted from the payments. because of this we are financly worse off as we have a reduced amount currently due to these. im unsure if that makes any sence0 -
The reason you do not get the carer element is because you get the LCWRA element which is worth more. Under UC you cannot get both at the same time (unlike legacy benefits).
As poppy says, unless the work you do, contradicts the reasons you have been found to have LCWRA you should be OK.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
