Hi all. A property came on the market on Tuesday. I've asked for a viewing and been told they are inundated with interest and the closest they can fit us in is next Monday. The house is empty (I think judging by the photos).
I see a few properties for sale one day, sold the next, as though they've been 'married up'.
the timing is fine it's not that far away, but do EAs say this a lot do you think?

EAs are in the business of selling houses. Potential buyers whose background and requirements are known and are registered with that EA will obviously be a priority for the sales info and early viewing slots especially if they can complete quickly. If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales2

The EAs are looking to sell as fast as possible so they get their commission as soon as possible. It wouldn't make sense to lie about there not being viewings available (assuming you are proceedable).
Re: properties being 'married up', obviously the EAs have a list of buyers and will get in touch with them when a suitable property comes on their books. Are you registered with this particular agent? Our house went on the market late Thursday afternoon and we accepted a full asking price offer less than 24 hours later so it can definitely happen if a property is very desirable. We had 10 viewings booked within hours of the house going up for sale so I'm assuming a number of those were on the agents books.1 -
We have just had a chain break down so they know we can proceed and they know we have nothing to sell.NinjaTune said:The EAs are looking to sell as fast as possible so they get their commission as soon as possible. I don't like second guessing so I suppose all I can do is get some others seen in the meantime0
