I think you are. 366 days had elapsed (leap year) and you tried to cancel on the 367th, which is the 1st day of the new subscription year, so you were already into the new year's subscription.2

If there is no time specified on the contract I would expect the previous one expired on 23:59 on 31st May and the renewal to be 00:00 on the 1st June.0

Is there a reason you waited until 1 June to cancel and then come on a forum in January for advice? Just curious.2
