Help towards the deposit for a mobility car? Searching for a previous post on the MSE newsletter

Hi, Firstly I apologise if this is on wrong forum. But I'm desperate. I think it was last year however could of been 2019.
So here goes on the weekly enail from the mse email/ newsletter. There was a post saying how you could get £500 (I'm sure that was the amount) free to put towards the deposit for a mobility car. Does anyone remember the post? Or does anyone know if this is still happening? Anyone with any advice on getting help with a deposit. I need an automatic car, something like a Peugeot partner, with an electric handbrake, also boot opener. For some reason automatic transmission cars are always several hundred pound dearer than manual cars. They've stopped doing the Peugeot partner and Vauxhall zafira. From the mobility list. I'm looking at £ 2000 +. They stopped my enhanced care component. When they changed me over to PIP. I was on DLA high for both no end date. Can't remember proper term for for ever.
Already had my mobility cancelled once. After appealing the decision to cut my care component from high to low. They cut my car.
Thankfully after several months the mobility was re instated. Last year the stopped my mobility. Took them from Jan until July to consider my MR, after my GP went above and beyond with a supporting letting.
I know some people may say well uf you have the motility part then should be able to afford any deposit. But that just isn't the case. I'm not looking for a top of the range car with high specs. Just one high enough so that I can get in and out. Plus the easy visibility that comes with the van/car vehicle.
Thanks in advance for reading.

Couldn't find a post on here, but there is a possibility of financial assistance through Motability themselves.
This link explains it:

It will totally depend on the reasons why you want financial help with the AP and what car you choose. I know someone that had a WAV and had help of a couple of thousand for the AP.

I just wanted help with an adaptation as the car I wanted didn't have an automatic handbrake and I wanted one fitted. Was told no as I could have a car with an electric handbrake despite the car I chose being suitable for me in every other regard so I was on my own. Oh and the fact I hadn't ordered the base model (base model didn't have heated seats which I need) meant I clearly didn't need financial help in the first place!0

There are so many different models to choose from that do have electric parking brake so i would have to agree with their reasons here. I know the peugeots have them too. The person that i know that did have help with their AP is because they needed a WAV because they are a wheelchair user and can't walk at all.
