Hi peterparker12
I have had pretty much same situation last month, did my expenditure and it was checked by debt_doctor who actually suggested I add a bit more on groceries. Consumation of Alchol and smoking seem to be all fine, as long as it is not over the top. My monthly expenses are £1500 but I pay £200 less than you for the rent and my wage is slightly lower than my wearnings, so no spare income. It was never questioned by OR! I am also paying private pension (£70 a month)1 -
I do understand the SOA for BR is to give you a chance of not getting into debt later and I feel the allowances are very fair..but.......
