HAVEN holiday parks question

Hello, wonder if someone can help here.
I booked a holiday @ Haven Craig Tara holiday resort. The one that used to be Butlins.
I booked in November last year for September this year. I paid £333.
I went on the other day to book another one and noticed they have changed the booking system and you get 2 options; STAY or STAY & PLAY.
My holiday home and date was coming up £26 cheaper so called them and asked for £26 to be deducted from balance. They said this is a change of holiday and £20 ammendment (sp) will be deducted.
So I asked instead for to claim the Haven price promise and was told this does not apply as I am changing my holiday from STAY & PLAY to STAY.
What I was trying to explain to the person was that when I booked there was just 1 holiday option, now there are 2 different options and Haven did not get in touch to say things had changed since I booked. My break was moved automatically to the more expensive option.
I don't want Bonga Wonga, I don't want Bingo or seeing a Kylie tribute act, I just want £26 off my bill.
Sorry for going on, but can someone advise please. Many thanks.

When you booked I assume the only option was the full package including the entertainment? Therefore you are still getting what you paid for. The fact they are now offering a cheaper option without entertainment doesn't stop you getting what you paid for. If the terms you agreed to state there is an amendment fee and you want to amend your booking then you should expect to pay the amendment fee. Doesn't seem worth getting £6 refunded. Just go along and even if you don't use the entertainment I assume you would want to use the swimming pools?

The one option they had when you booked is renamed "stay and play", they've since added another option that is just "stay". They added the two different options in December, while you might have chosen the stay option it isn't what your booking is so you're relying on their goodwill.0

You agreed to the price advertised at the time, if you want to change that course your going to be charged.1
