Zenith/Debt Recovery Plus (DRP) parking charge

Options
Hi all, just trying to make sense and get some advice on a parking charge I received for 1 Sep 20 at Solent Retail Park Havant. Firstly is there anyone, similar to my instance, who didn't receive any notices from the owner of a car park, in my case Euro Car Parks. As the first indication of a charge I received was from DRP in Nov 20, who said I owed £170 for parking longer than the maximum period allowed (about 37 mins). Using the provided template, I stated my case; I was not in receipt of any PCN (Notice to Keeper), mitigating circumstances during COVID, time to find a parking space, long queues, charge disproportionate, not justifiable etc and appealed to Euro Car Parks.  They subsequently emailed the Notices on 15 Dec 20, and stated they accept no responsibility for individuals failing to receive their letters, I should have appealed within 28 days and any communication should only be with DRP.   I have subsequently received another notice from DRP stating I owe £154, and today received a notice from Zenith collections (I believe is another name for DRP?) saying they intend to collect the debt and pursue it to a legal conclusion, and urging me to to take advantage of our discounted settlement offer of £146.  I have looked at other threads in this forum, but could not find any, where others have not received the initial notices from the car park.   Much appreciated if anyone has had a similar experience and what I should do next.

Read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, fourth post, very carefully about what you do with debt collectors whether they are DRP or Zenith. Nothing more that we can advise when you're at the debt collector stage.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Check V5C log book is correct

Complain to landowner , plan A (which is not ECP !! )

Email a SAR to the DPO at ECP to obtain all your data

Ignore drp/zenith , powerless debt collectors

They are the same set up who work on a no collection no fee basis (see below). File letters but do not engage with them. The PPC will try to add on a fake £60.00 for debt collection but as you can see from their web page (now deleted) that no fee changes hands.

This image from Google Street View clearly shows who manages this car park...

...as do all the ECP signs within the car park.

    This post from October 2019
