POPLA Appeal rejected what now?

Hi sorry to bother you I'm sure this has been asked before but - please help!
I have been given a parking ticket at a local stately home by initial parking. I paid for a ticket but due to a misinterpretation of the signage didn't pay enough according to the parking company.
I made my appeal before finding this forum. The signage said first hour free, additional 1hour £2, additional 2 hours £3. When I used the machine the fee came up on screen as £2. I paid it and have provided the ticket as evidence. I got a £60/£100 fine due to under payment.
My appeal was summarised by POLPA as:
The appellant’s case is that The machine on entering the registration number showed a fee of £2.00 which agreed with this interpretation. The appellant paid the £2.00 fee as required and in doing so showed their willingness to pay and believes this is an error due to poor signage / programming rather than an attempt to avoid the fee. The parking instructions were unclear, and the appellant and others interpreted this to mean that the first hour was free. Therefore, only needed to pay for 2 hours parking. Within their comments to the operator’s evidence, the appellant has reiterated their grounds for appeal in further detail and suggested further grounds of appeal.
I am unhappy. The visit to the stately home cost £55 and this has made it an expensive day out!
I wrote to the landowners estate office and they said it was terrible - the estate office worker I spoke to has then gone silent on me.
I'm tempted to keep posting on the stately home website, as others have done, as I'm so p'd off but it's not really my style.
My main gripe is when I type my registration in I expected the fee that flashed up to be the one I should pay...
I'll be more careful in future - and never go there again!
I'm minded not to have any further correspondence and ignore - what could be the financial implications of doing that?
Many thanks.

So how long did you stay for? 2 hours or under? If so - and without seeing the sign - then the fee should be £2.3

Who is the parking company?
The third post in the NEWBIES thread tells you:Do you have to pay if you lose at POPLA? No!!
Ignore debt collector letters as per post #4 of this advice thread - except to tell them in writing (keep proof of posting/emailing) if you move house, to make sure you never miss court papers a couple of years later.
Come back and read post #2 if you get a small claim, which defendants coached here win 99% of the time.2 -
The actual wording on the signage, and the actual length of stay are critical here.
At some point, covid restrictions permitting, you will need to get pics of the signs unless you can find them on the internet including other threads on this forum.
Please tell us where this occurred as someone might know it or have information about it.
