Maximum amount for balance transfer

I have a £9K debt repayable on Feb 28th.
Does anyone know what the max amount is that would be accepted for a  0% balance transfer?
My credit score is very good

  • Usually around 95% of whatever limit you get given.

What you get offered will depending on your credit history and risk, not your credit score.
  • How much of the debt have you repaid to get it to £9k?
Depending on your salary and how many cards you already have you might struggle to get a new card with a high enough limit.
  • If you got a 10k BT card then you could do a 9K transfer
If you got a 5k one then you would only be able to do a 4.5k transfer
Use the funds you put aside to pay off the BT at the end of the period, to pay off whatever you can't transfer onto a new card (which, in the current climate, might well be all of the 9k).
