Your repair / Homecare type cover

Hello everyone. I am currently paying £39 per month to Your repair for their Homecare 5 plan. The plan is due for renewal soon so would like to know people’s general opinions of having this type of cover. It does cover the boiler, heating, plumbing, pest control etc but people I speak to say I should just put that money in an account and get a local workman out if anything packs up. It does kind of sound like dead money when for the last year I have never needed to make a claim.
Thoughts please?

If you don't have the boiler etc serviced annually etc, you'll find it won't cover anything. For plumbing, you might find they send Dynarod round. Who are about as useful as a fart in a spacesuit."Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance" - Confucius1
