Getting comparison quote for existing supplier

Currently on economy 7 prepayment as had storage heaters,
Central heating installed yesterday, already have Gas direct debit set up.
EDF are taking me off of E7 and putting me on monthly direct debit in the next 24 hrs (have smart meter)
They said that they can't offer me the best tariff over the phone, once it's all changed over (putting me on standard tariff for now) , I can find much better deals with them online.
They are correct, however:
I want to stay with EDF, very happy with them, have contacted their support numerous times during lockdown, had zero problems getting through to UK based sites, always knew their stuff.
.
But if I put EDF in as my existing supplier, (tried main comparison sites), they don't give me EDF in any of their results. If I pretend I'm on say British Gas, all 3 main sites give me the same EDF deal which I'm more than happy to accept.
So are EDF wrong, and I can only get these deals if I switch supplier?

The way things are going, soon we are all going to be victims of something or other.
Who will we blame then?

You should be able to log into your My Account area on the website and choose a new tariff from there.

Many thanks, I can't at the moment as it still thinks I'm on an e7 meter, but put in neighbours address without logging in and it gave me a price cheaper than all the comparison sites (for EDF)The way things are going, soon we are all going to be victims of something or other.

Some tariffs are only open to new customers (whoever your current provider is) so you MAY have to try haggling on the phone to get the best for you.
