advise on best travel insurance for up coming holiday

We have flights booked (Jet2) and accommodation booked (AirBNB) for a Spanish holiday in June this year. This is a holiday that was cancelled from last year due to Covid and rebooked without charge to this year by both operators. We haven't sorted new travel insurance yet. Can we get insurance if the Government say we can't leave the country but the operators don't want to cancel? Or if Spain won't accept tourists but again, the operators don't cancel?

Unlikely, Insurance os to cover unexpected events. Being unable to travel is not an unknown event at present.
You would need to read any policy vry carefully to make sure you know exactly what you are covered for.
e.g. Staysure do not cover Circumstances you were aware of before your policy was issued or journey was booked (whichever is the later) that might result in a claim1 -
If the OP cannot claim on insurance, could they do a chargeback if paid by Visa card, especially if current rules (ie UK nationals not being allowed to enter Spain, and UK saying International Travel is a no-no) are extended to cover June?

Jet2 were offering covid related insurance, might be worth looking at what exactly that covers and if you can take it out for cover other than their flights/packages.All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Probably time for some googling.... at least one provider was offering covid related cover for Europe only around autumn time but not idea if they still are. Plus no idea on the quality of the rest of the policy though.0

Not if the flight's still going and the accommodation is still available.SteveTymms said:If the OP cannot claim on insurance, could they do a chargeback if paid by Visa card, especially if current rules (ie UK nationals not being allowed to enter Spain, and UK saying International Travel is a no-no) are extended to cover June?0
