Nice list, thanks.A lot about investing has to do with taxation considerations, so 'local' information is good. But there's a lot that isn't to do with taxation, so don't hamstring yourself by limiting to east side of the Atlantic sources (as good as they are).https://www.bogleheads.org/forum/index.php and their wiki.

Taxation is a bit of a key thing for me at the moment, with the tax year looming, finding out what else I can do to improve my situation - such as maxing out my last 3 years pension contribution. Then my consideration turns to how I structure my investment portfolio (besides ISA and SIPP) to be more tax efficient, without doing anything mental I don't understand (e.g. this Offshore Bond idea mentioned to me).
I'll give those links a look cheers.

Good decision , there is an old mantra in investing . ' Never invest in anything you do not fully understand '
Although in practice , unless you are an expert , it should say 'Never invest in anything you do not understand at least most of the risks involved ' as some investments are by nature complicated and most amateur investors will never understand them all 100%.

Indeed. That's not to say I wouldn't go for said bond if the benefits and drawbacks were laid out to me sounded compelling. I'd just need to research thoroughly after that to make sure I knew what I was getting myself intoAlbermarle said:without doing anything mental I don't understand (e.g. this Offshore Bond idea mentioned to me).Good decision , there is an old mantra in investing .
