If it's proper professional gear it will sell easily across most sites, as people often want to step up from their current equipment. When people are looking they tend to do an internet search and see where the item pops up, it's how both my sibling and I get ours.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
You get a wad of £20 notes, they get the goods, no possible fraud. Facebook face to face same outcome.Kseniya said:bris said:Gumtree face to face cash sale.
Ebay will be a risk as will anywhere that wants to pay by PayPal If its a high value item.
Yes? but how to recognize possible fraud? very little familiar with all this ... Pay pal once in my life used to be honest
You get the best possible exposure on Ebay, you also get the high value scammers. Prices go higher than expected, great until Paypal tell you it's getting reversed, the scammers don't care what the bid is.
Yes I'm sceptical, but been there done that got the T-shirt. Now I only sell on Gumtree, I get a realistic price and peace of mind.
You will always find buyers for good equipment on Gumtree, anything specialist like you have will be an easy sale.1 -
You do need to check every note though - lockdown may have made this trickier but I think there is a way of going into a bank branch, and making a non-reversible cash like transaction from their account to yours. This avoids the problem of fake notes as there is no physical currency involved.
I'd avoid paypal.0 -

I sold a second hand Nikon camera online. I had it listed on eBay for a while and it didn't sell. I listed the same item on Amazon Marketplace with a higher initial price (partly to cover for Amazon's fees being higher than eBay's) and it sold within a few weeks.0
