Hi
I had UR5 tooth removed 1 year ago. I know gums harden over time as I had LR7 removed 10 years ago. But it can still be painful on the gum of UR5 if I chew hard food on that side of mouth and it's not helped by the combination of missing LR7 & UR5.
I am considering a bridge for UR5. I know bridges are highly damaging to neighboring teeth but UR6 already has a massive filling and is one step away from a crown and UR4 is heavily chipped through an accident, although never been filled.
Any advice on bridges?

I am aware a bridge is not possible on the NHS, which is fine.0

Only your dentist who can see you and your x rays can advise on most suitable choice for you. They may well discuss implants as well as the different types of bridges and the risk/benefits to you of each type of treatment .As you said all of this will be private treatment only.0
