Hi all, Long story short Iv been in a big of a mess with credit. Managed to get on a DMP 2 years ago and start paying it all off.
I have a question. Lots of the loans have defaulted (still paying off even though they have defaulted) but on a monthly basis there are 3 loans that are leaving late payments still in my file, I think this is because they havnt defaulted but are still in arrears. The balance of the 3 loans combined is around £3,500,
I have the money in the bank to clear these debts that are leaving the late payment monthly, would it be a idea to get these 3 paid off to start building credit as no more late payments would be left?

Dosen`t make a whole lot of difference credit file wise, the late markers will still stay their course. Its better to get them paid off if you can, they will show as settled from the date you pay them, then time will mend your credit file.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
