Why won't my gift card become a barcode in Google pay?

It worked last time! It's really annoying me. All it has to do is turn a number to a barcode!

I recently got a Caffè Nero e gift card and had the same problem.
I ended up taking a screenshot and dropping the image into Keep Notes.0
