FP from Lloyds to Co-op still hasn't arrived after 8 hours

I know they aren't guaranteed to arrive until the following working day, but I've made hundreds of faster payments over the years (between my own accounts) and I'm pretty sure they've all arrived within the hour. This one went off at noon today, and I know the destination was correct because Lloyds is one of the few banks that actually tells you where your faster payments went, even on the browser version.

Verify the account number and sort code were correct.
Once you have, speak to the sending bank and ask them to do a Faster Payments Status Check. They can confirm what's happening in the system.
I've known them to take 24 hours but its very, very rare.1 -
Why not just wait until "the end of the next working day" and see if it has arrived? If not, that's the time to start making enquiries.
I often wonder why call centres are so busy. If everyone in your situation rings up early (as Fighter1986 suggests), no wonder there are ridiculously long waits for those with genuine enquiries. It seems that the faster things are made to happen (usually) the less patient we become!1 -
I've had it before with Lloyds that the fraud team blocked one of my payments but didn't tell me, so I'd get in touch and ask for an update on the status of the payment as suggested above. As you say in theory it could take up until the end of the following working day, so this would still be within that time frame, but in practice it rarely ever does so.1

Co-op are the only bank I regularly send payments to that don't show up instantly, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's just takes hours to come through sometimes1

If you are sure the details are correct then you can only wait until the end of the next business day.1

If it's a new payee then I wouldn't be surprised. When I sent a payment to VM (new account) from my Lloyds account it took ages. I had similar with FD too with new payees set up.1
