Yeah so re-reading what he's written, the application came back with a lower offer, which had an "Accept" button, which he couldn't click.maxximus75 said:Fighter1986 said:
The OP couldn't submit his application so no account will "just be opened".. the website broke, the Submit button didn't work. This is the quandry that led him to post here in the first place.maxximus75 said:Just give them a call. I am sure they will be happy to transfer your balance transfer requet.Failing that, just wait until you have online access to your new account and I am sure youll be able to request a BT there? From what I read from the original post, the OP states he was accepted but with a lower credit limit than wanted and that the transfer wasn't accepted due to the 90% rule and lower credit limit. The the OP just declined the transfer option. If that is the case and the OP was accepted, an account will be created although the BT will not be process due to the above issues.Or have I missed something?
The website kept telling him he needs to reduce his BT amount before he can proceed to accept the offer, but at the same time the website didn't let him amend the amount he had in the BT field, it was greyed out, so he was stuck in a catch 22 where he couldn't amend the BT amount to 90% of the offered limit, and therefore couldn't click the "Accept" button; so he technically never accepted the lower limit offered.
Hope that makes sense.1 -
That's not how I read it at all. It looks to me like the Web site would not allow the card application to proceed because the BT requested was too big, but offered no way to reduce or even remove the BT request.maxximus75 said:Fighter1986 said:

I just took it as he had to decline the balance transfer part of the process after he was accepted for the card.Usually, if that takes place you will still have an account set up and a card will arrive, it's just the BT wont have taken place at that time.My mistake.0
