Which means for the dates you were looking at there were no advanced tickets.

    What dates?

so when I looked at that train line, the prices where the same for 12 weeks in advanced as tommorow
    The country is in lockdown.
The rail companies (in some cases anyway) have come back under Government ownership.
Some such as Northern have slashed 60% of routes because nobody (or not enough) is travelling on trains.
Travelling for leisure is a no no on my local rail franchise.
That is why there are no advanced or cheap tickets available at present.

I don't know what you are trying to show, but those images aren't a comparison.  Trainsplit price a single fare, trainline is an off peak return.

I agree the screenshot did not show a like for like comparison; here is a like for like comparison:

Image shows MAN - BHM prices on 9th Feb, when bought from either Trainsplit or direct from the train company CrossCountry (XC), as follows:
    0827 departure (direct)  £32.12 Trainsplit £44.70 XC
    0831 departure (1 change) £23.40 Trainsplit £46.60 XC
    0927 departure (direct)  £26.09 Trainplit £44.70 XC
    0935 departure (1 change) £18.48 Trainsplit £39.60 XC
Such savings are typical across the XC network

There are a few other sites like TrainSplit (RailEasy, SplitMyFare, SplitTicketing, etc.). They don't all give the same fare. I've also saved a few quid on a couple of occasions by experimenting with a few different splits rather than just accepting the split at the station decided by the website. For example, the last time I used these sites they didn't split the ticket at Manchester Piccadilly when heading to Manchester Airport but there was a saving with this split.
