Government grant loan

Hi
My husband is self employed and has been advised that he is not eligible for the government support grant as he took out his pension early a year ago in one lump sum. Is he entitled to anything else? Has anyone else been in this situation at all?

Do you mean that he took a large taxable sum from his pension scheme in 2018/19? If so, I expect this means that he failed the SEISS eligibility test requiring no more than 50% of his income to be from non-trading income. That has happened to quite a lot of people. If he is still in business, then he might try for a bounce back loan, although these are hard to obtain now. I would imagine his savings preclude benefits.
