                    Hi,
I am trying to work out future entitlements based on when I start working and different wages
I have used turn2us and entitled.to, however when inputting same situations into both calculators, one is nearly £100 less then the other. Everything is the same. Yet when I put in my current situation both are correct in predicting what I am currently getting from UC.
Why would one be so far off the other when everything is inputted the same?
Anyone have much experience with either?
Many thanks

If you have put the same information in you should get the same result more or less. Certainly there should not be a £100 difference. Unfortunately without knowing your details and how you have entered them on each calculator it's impossible to know why you are getting a different answer.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

Yep, I understand, but I promise it is the same details, I have done it several times.calcotti said:If you have put the same information in you should get the same result more or less. Just wondered whether people have experienced the same.
I did email one of the sites to ask if the £20 uplift is included in there results (The site that was nearly £100 more), as that might explain it, but since the calculations were correct on my current situation when entered I assume it has been otherwise it wouldn't have been accurate0

Whenever I have found a difference between entitled and turn2us it has always been as a result of an input error on my part. The one that is sometimes rogue is Policy in Practice which appears to apply some benefit rules incorrectly.
This may be stupid (I can't remember how the results are presented) but are you comparing like for like - does one of the answers you are looking at include Council Tax Reduction as well as UC whereas the other is just UC?
If you are willing to share your scenario it will be fairly straightforward to tell you what the UC amount should be.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

Yep, I understand the logical reason is I am inputting something wrong, but honestly I don't see where. I have double checked them several times.
 Never used Policy In Practice.0

It's not because of the difference with your savings being above £6k and below £6k is it?Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0

Nah, I inputted on both what I currently have. Strange.
I'll do it again later but not sure why it is happening at all.1

            Hope this works
Just done both again, with all same details, and again one is much more then the other, I have links to the results if anyone wants to double check, if it works
Since I am new it won't let me post links, darn it. Wanted to see if anyone could see why it is so different.
If anyone is really bored and wants to look I can pm them?
 I don't see what I am inputting is different.0

As per previous post, if it’s a UC question and you want to share the scenario it will be straightforward to say what the UC should be.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0

            I don't mind sharing.
But there are quite a few questions on the calculators about households and stuff, which is why I saved them for someone to look at so it's accurate.0
