Amazon Customs Charge (post brexit)

I have been told something I purchased from Amazon UK over £150, is subject to a customs charge. I went to the product page and it does not say the seller is international nor talks about charges. There is an import fees section in Amazon but the blurb just says the charges will be applied at checkout. Is this a post brexit thing? Or are they pulling a fast one and making me pay the fees? The seller says I must pay or get a refund (minus customs charge/shipping).

As often clicking on the seller name will give more details on where the seller is.

Also guess this is not a direct Amazon purchase, but a Marketplace seller?

Yep market place seller, I contacted customer services and they said the product page does not mention customs charges etc. so they have to pay not me!
