Cold call ADT alarms

My daughter just received a cold call from someone alleging to be from MSE, advising as she had switched energy providers recently using MSE, she was entitled to a discount on an ADT alarm system. I’m assuming this just the latest scam, has anybody else had this call?

All cold calls are some sort of scam, especially about some alleged 'discount'.

I had the same call and as I'm registered with the TPS I complained to them giving the phone number they were phoning from and address off the ADT website. They replied they couldn't do anything as they were unable to contact them. Waste of space. Or maybe they're not really anything to do with ADT.0
