Roof lantern

Any recommendations for reliable companies, maintenance, best insulated etc? And tips on how to prevent condensation? I'd quite like a gabled style so I can hang stuff from it (kitchen).

Size required c2.5m x 1m.

We have two flat rooflights on our house.  The snow we had after Xmas didn't budge from them for days, which has to be a sign of great insulating properties.

Condensation should be on the outside.  Again, it's a sign that the windows are insulating well.

I think you'd be piercing them and causing a thermal break if you attempted to hang anything from them.   The plaster reveals would be okay for hanging from, if the frame built for them is wood and not steel - whether wood is okay will depend on the size and weight of the window.  They are heavy!

Velux have a good guide to the pros and cons of flat vs lantern style and they've launched a range of flat rooflights.  Given their reputation, I'd have no qualms ordering from them.
