Weekender Breaks/Wowcher mystery holiday

November 2019, I booked a mystery holiday through Wowcher, this then proceeded to book through Weekender Breaks. I booked for May 2020, and due to Covid, was unable to travel. They contacted me and only gave me the option of rebooking at another time. I booked again for November 2020, and still was unable to travel due to the pandemic. December 2020, I contacted Weekender breaks a forcefully declined another rebooking, and stated I will only accept a refund, they confirmed my bank details for refund and said that my refund will be in my account within the next month. I still have not received my refund, emails are being ignored and all contact numbers that I have for the "travel experts" go straight to voicemail. I am not at a loss and have been out of pocket for over a year due to this company. Can anyone advise?

Looking at the accounts there are only 2 directors and no employees, both directors are Indian and I suspect the business is operated from there which would explain the high level of profit. It may well be they are currently unable to answer the phone. If you only paid Wowcher and nothing to Viva Travel the company behind the weekender website, then claim from them, if you paid more money to Viva by credit card I would suggest a claim under section 75 if they do not respond to your emails

Hi, it was for a holiday to Krakow. I do have travel insurance. I did phone the contact number as advised above, and they are only issuing a partial refund.

If you paid for it with a Wowcher voucher should any refund not go back your Wowcher account?

Unfortunately, I paid via debit card. I won't be making that mistake again.
