I brought a Hitachi 55 Inch 55HK25T74U Smart TV from Argos last August. Now after a recent update there is no UKTV play This was one of the reasons I brought this model.
Does anyone know where I stand or give me any advice please.

Did you try retuning? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0

Isn't UKTV Play an app rather than a channel?
This is one of the issues with so-called Smart TVs ... you can't guarantee the apps that will be loaded, nor how long they will stay there (with licensing etc.)Jenni x0 -
If you mean the app has disappeared, I suspect there's something in the user guide that says that Hitachi can't guarantee that developers will support apps on every model of TV forever. It would be worth speaking to Argos because if the TV was sold with the app and it can't host it so soon after purchase, they may have to help.
Sometimes it's wise not to apply updates automatically.0 -

Get yourself a Roku Stick, a Fire Stick or a Now TV box, all 3 have the app on.0

Yep, always - £30 or less will get far more options than a "smart" tv (since now and firestick both offer each others apps)DCFC79 said:Get yourself a Roku Stick, a Fire Stick or a Now TV box, all 3 have the app on.
I have smart sticks so don't really use the smart features on my Panasonic TV but Freeview play on channel 100 has catch-up from various services including UKTV play

Says it's available on Freeview?Life in the slow lane1

My Panasonic lost All4 catch up - I wrote some snotty emails to Panasonic, Channel 4 and Freesat, not because I was expecting it to make any difference, just to express my frustration. The replies were basically ‘tough luck’ - commercial decisions, etc.
I’ve got a Now TV box which has never let me down.1 -
Perhaps it's on Freeview Play? (It's not a Freeview channel of it's own right - it's the catch up service for channels like Dave).born_again said:Says it's available on Freeview?Jenni x0 -
UK TV Play via Channel 100 if the app has been removed .Like wise the Channel Five app if that gets dropped .0
