Unusual Hermes problem... Anyone encountered this?

So I took my parcel (Ebay global shipping scheme) to the parcel shop nearest to me today, (its fairly new and Ive had a slight problem with them before) and the woman tried to repeatedly scan my parcel, and the hand terminal just beeped at her, after 4 attempts I asked her if there was an issue, She replied the terminal was telling her to give me the parcel back. She showed me the terminal and it said "*long ref number* Please return parcel to Courier"
Now I'm the customer, not the courier, which I explained to her but she didn't seem to understand. So as the shop was empty I logged into the Hermes account and it says the parcel has been 1) dropped off at the parcel shop 2) sorted at the national hub 3) out with the courier for delivery and 4) Delivered??? This is all from me processing the label at 12 noon to handing her the parcel at 1pm.

I asked if she could try and give the parcel to the courier tomorrow (Monday) to see if he can scan it, but she was insistent that I just take it away and sort it out myself, however her manager would be in tomorrow if I wanted to try again. So Im wondering has she made and error on the hand terminal? or is it likely my parcel is corrupted? I can't do anything on Hermes website as its says its delivered? Last time I had an issue it took 25 days to sort out and I don't want to pay £4.20 *again* to sort this out.... Any suggestions?!

Sounds like the operator wasn't clear on what to do.Are you able to go back tomorrow and explain/sort it out?
Your parcel isn't corrupted, it's just been mis-scanned but your buyer may be having kittens worrying it isn't coming.1 -
I'm going to go back early before work tomorrow, I just hope the manager is able to rectify this, As a precautionary measure Ive screenshotted everything to show them. *fingers crossed*

Until about 12 months ago any parcels I sent My Hermes for global shipping never tracked delivery but I always got an e-mail from Ebay saying they had been received by the global shipping centre. Then it suddenly changed and the second they are collected they go straight to being delivered.
I would try another parcel shop or the manager. It sounds like there is an issue with their tracking when it goes to the global shipping center.1 -
I took it back to the shop ad thankfully th manager said she had had this happen before and it was the member of staffs mistake (!) she was very apologetic. Hopefully it arrives safe in France!1
