Replacing ii Trading Account

Hi,
I have a number of shares held and managed by ii (interactive investor). The cheapest account ii offer is £9.99 / month for a trading account. I never trade and I’m just looking for a cheap safe place for my shares (typical UK Blue Chips, BT, BP, Glaxo etc). £120 / year seems to be a lot to pay for this (and to be fair to ii, I’m the one choosing not to trade). Does anyone have a recommendation for a ‘non-trading’ account somewhere? I used to hold physical share certificates but can’t believe that’s the right solution in 2021!
Many Thanks,
Steve

Jarvis X-O if this is not an ISA then no open/closure/ongoing fees and only £5.95 per trade.0

I think with HL it's free to hold shares in their Fund and Share Account.
Share dealing costs a maximum of £11.95 per UK deal online.

I'd be much more worried about the shares you hold than the trivia of which broker they are with. BT? BP?

Iweb is free after the initial setup fee of £25.
Its only £5 per trade too.
Ive been with them since late 2018.
Not much choice for research tools or analytics if you ever decent to become slightly more "active"0 -
If you're purely looking for somewhere cheap to hold exchange traded shares, then have a look at Trading212. You can try them for free - check out the referrals thread, sign up and deposit a quid and they give you a free share Worth up to £100(but probably something like national grid, under armour, royal dutch shell or ford). Try out the app, and see what you think of it.0

Well, that wasn't the question TBH. I don't consider £120 / year trivial as I'm not trading and therefore getting zero value for my money (as I stated initially, I accept this is a 'trading' account - I just choose not to trade, so my bad)AnotherJoe said:I'd be much more worried about the shares you hold than the trivia of which broker they are with. Thanks all for your responses. I also have an account with Fidelity who will hold share investments at zero charge, so have moved to there instead (it's been laziness on my part but now I've initiated the transfer).
Cheers, Steve0
