Hi all,
We're looking for a decent outdoor security camera that is app based i.e. hooked up to the wifi and we can get notifications on our phone. The choice is massive, and I've been trawling through- the google outdoor camera appeals because we have a few google products (nest etc) but it seems that you really need the subscription service which we don't want to pay for.
Is there any decent camera which fits the bill that anyone uses, that has decent features without subscription, and looks semi-decent? All we'd be looking for is appropriate notifications and ability to look at stored clips there and then- not overly fussed about clips being stored for a long time.
Thanks

I'm not an expert but I have 2 of these and have fitted 2 for my Dad as well.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B074M7B4BF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_shareVery cheap but work very well as long as you don't run them too far from the WiFi box.
Only issue is they do pick weather (ie rain) up on night vision but maybe that's an issue all motion detectors have?
For the money I think they are great.1
