Can we get a refund

Hi.
Was wondering where I email ect. to get a bit of advice. My child paid £1500 for a Oxford  online fast track A Level course in religious studies, business and English lit. They got no help from online tutors submitted all the work required no one marked it etc. When got on to them they're saying nothing was received and can't get a refund should have requested it within 30 days which was impossible. And now can't even do the A level exams anyway. Any help appreciated.

    What happened to being nice to new posters? 

    If it is, they are registered in Gibraltar which may limit your options. 
    How was the work submitted and did your child keep copies?

    Firstly, how did they (or you) pay? Was it credit card? If so you may be able to claim against the card company. 

    Similar to what elsien asked, what sort of proof do you have that the work was submitted, and that no responses were received? If you can prove that it was submitted and have their email saying no work was received, you've essentially got proof of issues at their end which should support your claim for a refund. 

    I would be quite forensic and make a list of all dates, correspondence, work submitted etc, with proof, and then contact the credit card company about a section 75 claim.

    I'd agree - but bearing in mind that section 75 makes the credit card company jointly liable for breach of contract and misrepresentation.

    So you need to read the contract (t&cs) and specify which terms the company breached, and how that resulted in a financial loss. (Or what they misrepresented, and how that resulted in a financial loss.) The credit card company would want to see a copy of the contract, as well as your explanation.

    You also need to double-check whether you or your child breached the contract. (As a random illustrative  example, did the contract terms say that your child had to click a button or send an email saying "I've submitted my work", which your child didn't do?)

    Depending on when the breach of contract occurred, you might be able to do credit card chargeback instead.
