I have noticed energy prices seem to be going through the roof, I currently only pay £50 a month dual fuel with Avro on a 12 month fix due to end shortly and have searched and the price is now £70 a month with Avro still being the cheapest. Its nearly a 50% rise in cost.....do I fix now or will prices drop?!?!

Quite a few of us on the Avro feedback thread are complaining about the large increase in Avro prices. Also, prices overall. In martin lewis latest email he states. "Yet the price cap (set 6mthly) is almost certain to jump by about £100/yr on typical use in April. "

I still find Avro is top of the price tables but in general I think prices are clearly set to escalate

You have seemingly answered your O/P question  ."do I fix now or will prices drop?!?!"

Does that £50 per month reflect actual usage based on meter readings?
  • I wonder if the prices going up is a claw back of the cost of rolling out smart meters now they are being made to, they have been the best price for me for some time - while they were ignoring the requirement to fit smart meters.
