Hi, I was wondering if anyone had recently completed with Halifax and what final checks were done? Was a hard search done? What are they looking for? Nothing has changed in our circumstances but I’m incredibly nervous.
Thanks

I completed in November and Halifax didn't do any further checks. I only had one hard check and one soft check the day after I submitted my application. I had a very straightforward application.
No reason to be nervous if nothing has changed. Just don't make any credit applications until after completion and keep credit card usage low.
I can't speak for their general approach to final checks. You might get more responses in the Mortgages & Endowments section.0 -
Thanks. Nothing has changed but we don’t have a good credit history (8 years ago) so I just can’t believe it’s happening! Xx0

Do you know if they credit checked you again towards the end? Xx0

Lenders can monitor accounts for particular changes on a credit file record. Internal audit are constantly spot checking files and may accordingly request another search.1

Fab we haven’t had any changes to our credit file at all. I’m just so scared of the offer being pulled last minute. I don’t know why 🙈0
