12 weeks! Somebody in the chain isn't serious. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?1

The vendors haven't switched solicitors to their knowledge, for whatever reason the conveyancing firm who were dealing with it through PB (I believe they use a variety of linked online conveyancing companies) have just informed my solicitor they aren't handling it any more. The vendors didn't even know this.Thrugelmir said:

I wish they had chosen to switch to a reputable firm when I asked them to. As I said, I even offered to pay half the fee PB say you have to pay if you break the contract where you agreed to use their conveyancers.0 -

I believe they completed their pack pretty much straight away and returned it, then took the attitude of 'we've done all we need to do', despite me saying again and again my solicitor hadn't heard anything. I think part of the problem is/was it's impossible for them to get through to their conveyancers on the phone so they just send emails which are then ignored.tigerlily74 said:I feel your pain, my vendors also seem highly motivated, yet whenever they contact Purplebricks they tell them it has already been done, so I have to ask my solicitor to confirm again it has still not come through. So far we have lost another 4 working weeks with this nonsense, and it took them 5 weeks to send the contact pack out in the first place. It seems they just tick things off as their system as complete and so you can’t get past that stage for them to look and see it hasn’t been actually ticked off. The seller needs to give them an ultimatum.
I just don't know why they are adament they want to stick with them and would rather just complain to PB about it rather than use a decent firm!0 -
My feelings exactly. Fingers crossed it starts moving for you soon. Getting our vendor to complain is the only thing that makes a difference, though like yours, they seem to trust the PB solicitors far too much.yllop1101 said:

Thank you, I emailed my PB agent with the update and he's passed on my concerns tk the post sales department. Let's see if they can help move things along in some way....1

After the initial solicitors dropped the case and it was passed on to a 2nd company (all under the umbrella of purple bricks conveyancing) my solicitor finally got a draft contract (this must have been about week 13 or 14). My solicitor then replied to their solicitors a day or two later and had a bounce back saying THEY were no longer handling the case and it had been passed on to a 3rd company!
The vendor denied that any of this was happening, saying we were making false accusations, despite my solicitor having the emails to prove it, so I pulled out. I have no doubt they will sell quickly, probably for more money as the market is a bit crazy at the moment, but good luck to anyone taking it on!0
