LPG level sensor dodgy?

Anyone had experience with LPG level indicator gauges? I have a digital one that lights up (Livello LED Remote Gas Level Indicator) although it has stages mine appears to go from green to red and there's really no indication on the bars how full / empty I am. Full is basically green, and getting empty is red. That's as accurate as I'm getting. I presume the tank level sensor is dodgy?

I have a Petrol/LPG motorhome with green and red lights which are unreliable. My LPG dealer tells me that LPG gauges are notoriously inaccurate, but my vehicle does switch over to petrol automatically when LPG pressure gets low. If yours is a dual fuel vehicle you do need to keep the petrol tank reasonably full. I never let mine fall below half. The sensor works on pressure, apparently; I would check the LPG tank in case there is a pinhole leak.0

Same as above, the gauge moved when it felt like it. Gauge on the tank itself was more accurate. I assumeit was a float as it would rise and fall with the gradient of the hill and whether going up or down. With the Range Rover the gauge was just about visible for a rear seat passenger but for most carsit wont be visible at all.You need to keep a log for a while to see how much fuel it uses, once you get a fairly accurateaverage mpg you will know when the trip reads xxx you need to fillup.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
