Right to acquire Housing association house

I have just put in an application for right to acquire with my Housing association. The house was built in 1980 and a family I know lived there for many years renting it off the local Council. Ok. So it's likely it could also be exempt due to being a rural area. This expemption is designed to ensure there remains social housing for local people
