Mark Up Documents

I have some pictures and documents that I need to mark up at the bottom of the face of page of what they refer to so i can email them to the recipient.  I would prefer not to print them off as there is a lot of them that may require another ink cartridge.  Is there some software that I could use that could help me do this, they are jpg, docs and pdf's?

Lots of other software too but that is my suggestion for the jpegs.

However the pdfs and docs will need separate treatment.

You might imprt them all into one doc or pdf and then add text below each if that is a better option pdf architect can do that sort of thing.

If you want to maintain them as individual item you can batch "print" them using a pdf printer thus making an electronic pdf of each rather than a hard printed copy and then add text from there.

Thanks for your suggestion it looks as though its standard photo editor as it's simpler i may just try using Microsoft Paint for that, not sure how i can do the pdf/doc ones yet.

If the pdfs/docs are on your pc a screen print will give you a jpg/png

Yes i know this but was hoping there was some software that could do this task for me more swiftly.
