Good morning I was wondering if anyone had any advice please..
I had to declare myself bankrupt in 2013 due to my ex husbands gambling addiction. I still have 2 defaults on my credit file both for mortgages at the time were wiped out in my bankruptcy, 1 with the TSB and 1 with the Birmingham Midshire
I’m finding it really difficult to get a mortgage due to this. Any help much appreciated.

If you were declared bankrupt in 2013 then the default should be no later than that.
What are the dates of the defaults for those two debts?
Just look for your record being corrected and not compensation1 -
Ideally just like corrected yes. Says on one last updated 2016 and the other 20180

Yes but what were the dates of default?
That's a separate entry recorded on the accounts for "date of default / date last delinquent"
If it's unclear, obtain your free statutory online report from Equifax directly, theirs are quite well laid out and easy to understand.1 -
Defaults stay on your file for 6 years, the entry will have a “date of default” on it, the date it was registered.
Six years from that date the default will be gone.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
