Collar for a hunter

Our last cat would bring birds in, but she was so gentle there wasn't a mark on them.
She would bring them to me (I think to ask me to throw her flying toy into the air for her to catch again). Sadly, the adult birds were mostly dead (fright?) but I rescued many youngsters from her. I would hold them in my hands for a few minutes, while they got over the shock, then they would fly away. Much to furry madam's disgust.2
