how do I remove 'ads by google'

Hi again! can you plz tell me, when I'm on the internet reading the news on here or whatever, I get little adverts along the bottom of the screen. then the advert disappears and it says 'ads by google' how does one stop that, other than uninstalling google? thanks.

Are the ads really that intrusive? Would you rather the ad or that the website you are looking at ceases to exist because their revenue dries up and so the site becomes untenable to run?0

What news website are you reading the news on? Most news (apart from the BBC), is served with ads these days, these are very often provided by Google. You can use AdBlocker, but many sites are not blocking access if you do so.0

GM all. as you may of gathered I've been changing a few things in my settings on here. so as advised I now have just w10 defender and malawarebytes which I installed yesterday. I uninstalled the talktalk homesafe security and avg, which I think were just clogging things up. the other thing I have and always have had is ccleaner. this morning I'm getting no annoying ads, and no pop ups.
so I think all is good. thanks for the advice.1
