Extended Refund Rights

CRA is an act of parliament and as such only parliament can choose to vary it.Peter_87 said:Are these seen as an extension of Consumer Rights Act 2015 or selective extensions?
Statutory rights provide a minimum standard and when it comes to consumer rights its exceptionally rare that you can agree to waive them even if you want to (for the few commercial statutory rights that exist they generally can be agreed to be waived).
Companies can chose to go above and beyond the minimums set in your statutory rights by setting their own returns policies that are more generous etc. These may well form part of your contract with them, if they were inforce at the time of purchase, but any sensible company will make these types of things discretionary such that they ultimately have the last say until you hit the statutory minimum.
To the best of my knowledge none of the Covid related legislation thats been passed makes any adjustments to the CRA.0
