Getting repeat prescriptions online

We're in the Extremely Vulnerable category and don't want to (can't) go to local pharmacy to collect regular drugs. There seem to be lots of 'unknown' names doing online supply, plus Coop and Lloyds. The Coop version is very clunky and difficult to sign up and use; Lloyds (Echo) is big overseas corp (and owns our local awful pharmacy). Any suggestions or recommendations?

Does your own GP practice offer this service? If not, there will probably be volunteer groups delivering prescriptions in your area.duckman123 said:We're in the Extremely Vulnerable category and don't want to (can't) go to local pharmacy to collect regular drugs. I use Boots and it works fine, although you have to allow time before placing the online order and it being approved by your GP/processed/delivered.

I use Lloyds (Echo) and it works fine but I do agree that their pharmacies aren't very good.0

I use my doctor's apply in the morning...meds delivered by local pharmacy same day0

Most local pharmacies now offer a delivery service. If yours doesn't, switch to one that does.

If you are CEV then you'll be able to get support from the NHS Volunteer Responders to collect prescriptions so you can get them sent to your local pharmacy, then the volunteers will collect and deliver them to your home. They have been a godsend with me as none of my local pharmacies do delivery.
I used to get Boots deliver it via Royal Mail however they managed to cancel 2 prescriptions and leave me without post transplant immunosuppressant meds for 1 week with zero explanation (for the uninitiated you need those to stay alive or your organ rejects). They also didn't bother cancelling those prescriptions so my GP could reissue the meds. Boots incompetence during lockdown 1 was totally unacceptable, immunosuppressants for post transplant patients, asthma medication for children and other life saving meds were ignored. A load of us that had gone to Twitter to complain after not being able to get through via email or phone to find the status of our medication put in a complaint to the Care Quality Commission but never heard anything back.0 -
Medicines
You are strongly advised not to go to a pharmacy.
In the first instance, you should ask if any friends, family or volunteers can collect medicines for you.
If friends and family are not able to collect your medicines for you, and you and/or the pharmacy are unable to arrange for a volunteer, then you will be eligible for free medicines delivery. Please contact your pharmacy to inform them that you are clinically extremely vulnerable and need your medicines delivered, and they will arrange this free of charge.

I use pharmacy2u - excellent service.Mama read so much about the dangers of drinking alcohol and eating chocolate that she immediately gave up reading.0

I use Lloyds online (as the bricks and mortar Lloyds locally wanted to charge for delivery) and have no problems at all. They remind me when I am due to re-order and my meds have always arrived in good time. It's not difficult!
