Green Energy Price Hike - Thoughts?

I am on duel fuel so Anderson does not work for me. Green just told me that Oak is their cheapest Dual Fuel tariff and having checked all the above suggestions, they all work out a little dearer than the increased Green tariff. So looks like I will be staying with Green FTTB0

However I personally would avoid them, but if you're looking to save a few £ in the short term then you might as well join them:Utility Point - tend to stack up credit on customers accounts, months delays on getting it refunded after switch away
Neon Reef - owned by Utility point.Agreed, Utility Point have a dreadful reputation, but I've had no problems with sister company Neon Reef and they responded lightning fast when I had a query. It's been nearly a year and, although not available to new customers they haven't increased their ultra-cheap variable prices so I can't complain.I haven't left them, and that process is always the proof of the pudding, but Neon Reef might be worth a try.

Hi all, I am a Sustainable Fuel Manager (biomass energy). Energy is quite expensive at the moment because of arguably the worst Harvest in living memory. There simply isn’t enough straw to create our Green Energy this year. Most crops have been on average 70% down and straw is now selling at approx £150/tonne as opposed to around £55/£60 a tonne on normal years. Some stations have had to shut down until this years (2021)Harvest when they can start up again. Is genuinely very expensive to create this year. Is quite scary really.1

I'm also with Green, E7 as we don't have gas, for our particular usage the increase is 15%. I used MSE and other comparison sites, only to find that only symbio is cheaper, by the grand total of £40 a year!0

EDIT. damn green.energy's Elec unit rate seems to be 5% higher than MSE (just gone up?)If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0 -

I'm on Oak duel fuel. Gas tariff stays the same but electricity unit price going up from 12.35p to 15.69p.
I'm aware that there will be few duel fuel tariffs that are better, but just wondering if I split to separate electricity and gas. Could I stick with Oak for gas but switch my electricity to another Green tariff?
My electricity use is low, and I've spotted a couple of tariffs on their website (Elm and Lindsay) which have a lower standing charge and would work out cheaper for me overall, but these tariffs are not listed on comparison sites when I input my usage data. Why is this?0 -
I spoke to Green about this and Oak is only available as a dual fuel.
Get Green to quote you on their website as a new customer and you will see what is actually available from them.
