I just received a surprise delivery of a bottle of Suntory Whisky Toki, a Japanese blended whisky which OH will enjoy at some point :)
I'm not sure who to thank as I've no idea where it's come from and the address on the box it was in is just a fulfillment place so thanks everyone for keeping posting on here :)

Was it from a fulfilment centre in Bedford?
At least one other person and myself also received a bottle of whisky out of the blue ("The Famous Grouse, Smoky Black" whisky no less!).

I posted my good fortune on twitter and they said they got the exact same delivered with no card or info.

I *do* remember slightly doing a "what do you like to drink" survey thing around Christmas, there was a list of whisky's to select from both Scottish AND Japanese styles ( I'm not 100% sure of the dates as it was Christmas and a few drinks were drunk!). I've been trying to look through my emails to see if anything rings a bell.

Do you remember doing one of those "Can you leave a review of this product on these sites" surveys in the past 2 or 3 months?

    *SOLVED* i think!!!

Did you get an email from "BzzAgent" ?? For a campaign for "Beam Suntory" ?? They own the brand of whiskey you received as well as Famous Grouse. so might have been form that.

Thanks, yes, I found out from a comp group on Facebook over the weekend that my mystery win was really a mystery review product but now you mention it, BZZAgent does sound familiar with this, was there a great long list of whiskey's and gin's?

  • Ah, good - I was trying to work out who'd sent me my whisky! Slightly disappointed that I ended up with common or garden Famous Grouse as opposed to some of the fancier ones that others have, but I won't "grouse" about it or look a gift bird in the mouth :) I better get drinking and thinking of witty reviews then! Thanks for helping work out where it came from! I'd forgotten about the BZZAgent thing - unusual not to get any reviewers guide or other bumpf with it though.
