Halifax Reward account: what will happen after May?

I have been fortunate to receive £5 per month reward on each of two Halifax Reward current accounts since the start of the new scheme in June.I understand that the present reward choice expires on 31 May 2021.
Does anyone have any thoughts on the likelihood or otherwise of Halifax continuing the scheme as at present? Will the reward amount reduce or will it become more difficult to earn?

It'll roll forward for another year, like Club Lloyds does. Of course the options of Reward Extras are reviewed from time to time (like you can't get Cineworld vouchers now for Club Lloyds, but you can now get Odeon etc.).Deleted_User said:I have been fortunate to receive £5 per month reward on each of two Halifax Reward current accounts since the start of the new scheme in June.I understand that the present reward choice expires on 31 May 2021.

I wished I shared your optimism. The £5000 option equates to a 1.2% return which is "handsome" and the £5 monthly reward for moving £500 out by direct debit plus £1500 in/out is even better. In the present climate I am prepared for much less.

As I said, the Reward Extras (cf. Lifestyle Benefits) for the Halifax Reward (cf. Club Lloyds) accounts will be reviewed from time to time. So there's no guarantees about the £5 a month option continuing. But it might.where_are_we said:I wished I shared your optimism. It's easy enough on a debit card though.northwalesd said:

Apologies - £500 out by debit card is correct. These cold days I am not gardening enough to keep my head in the right place!
