Or in my Bro's flat - 6 floors up.
I suggested an ultrasonic repellent in the first instance. Any recommendations? One-floor flat, 2-bed (1.5 bed), kitchen sitting room, bathroom.
How to choose between even this lot?
(The middle one also has electromagnetic radiation to confuse their little compasses - bless.)
Thanks.

What's he trying to do, mildly annoy the mouse/rat or actually get rid. I wouldn't bother with any of the them, just get some bait traps put down.1

Yes, mildy annoy - so they go next door...He doesn't want to kill them. (Whether that's 'cos he couldn't face disposing of them, or from an ethical standpoint, I don't know.)Are you saying categorically that these don't work? You know this?Thanks.0

My experiences of 'ultrasonic' repellants is that they don't work for anything; birds, cats, rodents, whatever. Well they work on me; the noise is quite grating. It really is easier to just bait and kill with a good trap. It's probably kinder too - you can kill one now or 10 in a few months.2

The old-fashioned spring-loaded mousetraps are cheap and efficient. They are probably more humane than poison and you don't have the problem of a mouse potentially expiring under the floorboards. But I have also used humane traps that allows you to relocate the mouse once trapped.Whichever you use, apparently peanut butter is the best bait!

Thanks.I know he wants to avoid killing them - if there's a decent alternative.I did mention the 'live' traps, and that he could then drop them over the edge of his 6-th storey roof... (I was only kidding).I suspect he'll try the repellent first, and he should know quite quickly if it works - as he sees the mouse most evenings... :-)0

If he is seeing mice running around, something is attracting them in. Clean up all food crumbs and store food in glass or plastic containers. Go round the flat and plug all holes where the mice might get through - It will also cut down on draughts.
Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.1 -
He's pretty sure it's just one mouse. :-)

Please don't kill the mouse!!! Traps are horrible, they break their backs. And if the traps don't work properly the little things die in absolute agony. I like your brother, I have to say, and the fact that he doesn't want to kill poor little mousie.
