Just received an sms that £125 will be paid by 12th February. In case someone wonders I didn't pay £1500 in one go, I didn't keep it there. Son switched to NatWest but didn't get text or money by Feb 12th. Complained via NatWest's (excellent) online form and a week later was advised that he was ineligible as he received similar reward in 2018. But as a ''one off gesture" they have given him the 125 anyway!
I was recently refused switch reward from RBS in similar circumstances but no such gesture for me. Perhaps because they last gave me a bonus only a year or so ago - and correctly surmised I was taking the peace!🤣
The moral of this story is that linked banks NatWest, RBS and Ulster are actively checking to confirm they haven't paid out previously and stopping new payments if they have. But they may still pay the money if you ask nicely and get the right complaint handler!0 -
Was the 2018 offer he received also from Natwest?
